A wonderful compililation of letters from an infantryman in an Iowa regiment. Sgt Clayton was involved in actions in Missouri, Louisiana, and Alabama, including a stint as a confederate prisoner. Narrative anb pictures by Dr. Elder really rounded this book out. Clayton was an excellent writer and gives incredible insight into army life and the fighting of the civil war. Best of all you get a flavor for the general perceptions of the common soldier, the ones charged with the dirty work.

I thoroughly enjoyed this highly readable book, in fact resented any interruptions while trying to read it. Thank you, Dr. Elder!!

His interviewing technique is pure genius as he gleans every possible scintilla of information from his subject.

This is a classic police procedural as DI Peach visits suspect after suspect and slowly puts together the puzzle of who murdered Claptrap Clark. The entertainment lies in Peach's interviewing style, an elaborate act which is designed to keep his adversary unbalanced and in a constant state of nervousness.

Hilarious scenes are provided intermittently throughout the book when Peach reports to his superior, Superintendent Thomas Tucker. Showing as little respect as possible, putting forward outrageous theories and baiting his boss at every opportunity, I found myself looking forward to every meeting with ever greater enthusiasm.

This is a terrific book that provides a very well constructed mystery, investigated by a character who provides consistent entertainment. It's part of a series of books featuring Inspector Peach, which is good news because one book of Peach is definitely not enough.

This book is astounding. Geoffrey Gulliano describes in detail the life of the man so few people know about because of his reputation as the "Quiet Beatle". This book takes you from George's early life in Liverpool to his recent one, as an established solo artist. It contains elements such as George's mistakes in life, such as his drug use, along with his accomplishments. A fantastic book on a fantastic man.

This is a great book for summer! It's mostley just fun, but it does touch on responsibility too (but not so it seems like you're getting a lesson). I'd recommend it to anyone, but especially boys, who are begining to read chapter books. There are a couple pictures in each chapter, which also make it a fun book.

This book is based on a film which was called Body of Evidence. The film stared Madonna,William Defoe, and Joe Mantegna. If the movie wasn't sexy enough then they put the book out. The book is very very good. It is much more erotic than the film. I would recomend this book to everyone

This wonderfully entertaining book reveals the relationship that men have to food in our culture, laid out through a hugely entertaining set of stories and recipes. It explains why my friends' father-daughter Indian Princess group lasted so long - men's relationship to food is to food-as-ceremony. The book is primarily hilarious, with recipes that aren't precise but more of artistic directions - feel free to make your ribs with plenty of bourbon for the cook and a hammock and an old dog at your feet!
